- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 4 large eggs
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). In a saucepan, combine water and butter, bringing it to a boil. Remove from heat and stir in flour until a dough forms.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Spread half the dough onto a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden. Repeat with the remaining dough.
- While the pastry cools, whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form. Once the pastry is cool, spread the cream filling between the layers and top with powdered sugar.
