- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup water
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat the oven and prepare a baking sheet.
- In a saucepan, combine water and butter, bring to a boil, then add flour and stir until a dough forms.
- Remove from heat, let cool slightly, then add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Spread half of the dough onto the baking sheet and bake until golden brown.
- While the first layer is baking, whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until stiff peaks form.
- Once the first layer is baked and cooled, spread the cream filling over it.
- Top with the remaining dough and bake again until golden brown.
- Let it cool completely before slicing.
