- 1 small onion
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- Grate the potatoes and onion using a box grater or food processor.
- Drain excess moisture from the grated potatoes.
- In a bowl, mix the grated potatoes, onion, egg, flour, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Heat oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat.
- Spoon the potato mixture into the hot oil, flattening it slightly to form pancakes.
- Fry until golden brown on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Remove from the pan and drain on paper towels.
- Serve hot, optionally with sour cream or applesauce.
